Magic Mile Screen Printing Company, Est. 2015, is a new creative division of Potter Photography and Design, founded in 2007 by Brandon Potter. Downtown Kinston, NC is in the midst of a major comeback that has been spurred by new restaurants, a brewery, the arts and small business. Potter Photography has been providing Eastern NC with quality portraits and event photography for years in this area, and we’ve decided to expand our services that we provide. Kinston native Matthew Edwards has provided the spark and the opportunity to grow the business into a full service creative studio and screen printing seemed like the perfect addition to our repertoire, since we have already been providing graphic/web design services to local businesses for years. We’ve taken our time and done our homework and now we are excited to offer custom apparel to Eastern NC. We’ve already done lots of designs and printing jobs for downtown businesses. CAPABILITIES
Magic Mile utilizes a variety of methods in order to produce custom designs for our customers. The biggest factor in determining which method is best for your project is usually quantity…most screen printing jobs become cost effective at around a quantity of 50, especially if they require multiple colors. However, for smaller runs with multicolor designs, we can utilize a heat transfer process in which the design is screen printed onto a transfer sheet by a supplier of ours, and then we transfer the design onto your garments. These are not your ordinary “iron-on transfers”…they are actually produced using the same plastisol inks that we screen print with using traditional methods. We can produce up to 4 color designs for front, back, sleeve or chest/pocket prints. At Magic Mile, we pride ourselves on being a turnkey operation. We offer in-house design and proofing and we have wholesale accounts with a variety of vendors, so we have a large selection of shirt brands, styles and colors to choose from. During our initial consultation or phone call, we’ll discuss ideas for your design, logos or artwork that we’ll need from you as well as the shirt style and color. Then we’ll get back to you as quickly as we can with a digital mockup of your shirt design as well as the pricing information. As soon as we get approval on your final design, we can order your shirts and prepare for the printing process. Most jobs take around 2-3 weeks depending on the quantity and complexity of the job.
